Fall Favorite Finds

With the weather changing--well kind of in Texas--and the pumpkins out, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some of our favorite fall finds and favorites with each of you. I love Fall, but in Texas, it seems to take forever to actually feel the effects of Fall. A cold front in Texas means temperatures just dropped from 100 to 97-hahaha! But there are so many things to love about this season-pumpkin spice lattes, cozy blankets and those amazing pumpkin patches-what's not to love. I know I'm not alone in saying this is one of my favorite times of year; although, it comes with it's fair share of CRAZY too! Hectic sports schedules, endless birthday parties (um December must be a naughty time of year) and planning for the upcoming holidays are sure to throw any business-owning mom into a frenzy. So I am going to take a break from all of that craziness and indulge in a few of my favorite gifts and guilty pleasures for this Fall.

1. Classic Accent Lamps

With the start of Fall comes shorter days and darker evening, so why not enjoy a little ambiance inside your favorite room of the house. Classic marble, chrome and acrylic details make this lamp a stunning addition to any space. Curl up in your favorite chair, grab a good book and sit by the delicate light of an accent lamp while the leaves turn outside and the weather gets colder.

2. Scented Candles & Cozy Comfy Throws

What reminds us of Fall more than the smell of pumpkin and spice. Bring the fragrance of the season into your home with rich candle scents. Step out of the box with a unique scent, like Teakwood-I LOVE this fragrance year round but especially as the seasons turn into Fall and Winter. And while you are enjoying the sophisticated smell of your Teakwood candle and curling up with your next novel, make sure to have a soft, warm throw blanket near by. These baby alpaca throws are as beautiful as they are luxurious.

3. Earthy Accents and Accessories

Nothing reminds me of Fall more than earthy tones and textures. So during the months of September-December, I always enjoy changing out some of my accessories and throw pillows for softer, warmer tones and deep, rich textures. Try replacing a bright colorful charger in your bookshelf with natural elements of wood, metal and stone. The wood grain in these sphere sculptures adds interest and intrigue to any bookcase or console table.

4. Repurpose a Special Find

Fall brings family, holidays and friends, so what better than to find repurpose in a family heirloom or special flea market find. Adding bright, warm colors of orange and red to a tired footstool creates a conversation piece for company and a perfect weekend family activity. Don't be afraid to go bold! I absolutely love how this antique footstool stool turned out after a fresh coat of orange lacquer and updated marble textured fabric-so chic!
